Mini Chihuahua meeting @ Sentosa

Dear Diary,

It has been quite some time since i last blogged. We had a mini Chihuahua meeting a few weeks ago and we got to know new friends! We planned the location to be at Sentosa, Tanjong Beach. The sun was glazing and hot. So, the girls went to have a mini swim in the sea to cool off. Well, i would say the girls prefer the sand more than water but i made them swim as the weather was quite hot. After swimming they started to run around and play with the sand.

We had a super fun time together and its our first time meeting each other. its great to meet new friends all the time!
All the furkids enjoyed themselves and all had a good time. Being Chihuahuas, some of them also enjoyed chasing other dogs away. Especially my little clover. hahaha!

We stay around until 5pm and we headed home as the beach was getting crowded. Bumbie and Clover was also getting tired.

This is just a short blog for the day. will update more soon!

Top 5 Bumver favorite hangouts!

Dear Diary,

Today i want to share our top 5 favorite hangouts during our weekends! Just sharing and listing down the cool places that we love. I personally prefer green grass, open space and quiet environment. 1 word to describe this is serenity. We love to do picnics! we just lay a mat and bring some food, the furkids will have their time to go off leash. haha!
ok here goes....

Number 1:
Bay East Garden

The beautiful clean area with a nice view of the city. We usually find a nice quiet spot, away from the bicycle tracks. There will have many people cycling around as this park is connected to marina barrage. Clover hates bicycles, so we have to stay away from the tracks. we usually come here for picnics or some causal gatherings. We simply lay our mats and settle down on a grass patch while we watch our furkids enjoying chasing the sun!

Number 2:
Sentosa, Tanjong beach

The most famous place, Sentosa! Bb loves the sand and sea! She will dig and dig and dig and run around like she is chasing the sun. Clover will roll her body on the sand like having sand bath. Usually the girls dont like swimming, but in Sentosa, they made an exception to get wet!

Number 3:
Sengkang Riverside Park

Peaceful and quite park among the HDB buildings. I love this place as this park is so clean and it is really big. Only on rainy days we have to avoid this park as the grass will be muddy and there will be ants around. only certain area have to avoid as there will be ant nest. I usually rest at the riverside and relax. Bb love to sit in the mud and make herself as muddy as possible. Clover will just run and run like she is so free!

Number 4:
Punggol Settlement

This is one of my most favorite place too! i always will head down to The Punggol Settlement for food and a short walk. This place always complete my Sundays. Whenever i have a slow Sunday, i will head down here for brunch and a slow walk in Corney Island. We will sit at a corner to enjoy the breeze. Not a place for off leash as there are many cyclist around.

Number 5:
Hort Park

This park can get really hot in the afternoon but it is really very lovely! The grass are nicely maintained and looks really neat! The park has a lot of photo taking spots as well so prepare your camera! I usually go in the afternoon and i noticed that there are lesser people in the afternoon. then, i will off leash! The girls will walk nicely with me by my side in the park.

And thats our top 5! I believe these parks are nothing new to everyone. Bishan Park and Sembawang park are the 2 parks which i know they have a dog run. But i hardly use the dog run as i believe its usually smelly? Well, Bishan park's dog run is quite well known for most of us and i think it should be ok. Just be sure to have the tick and flea prevention on as we do not want to have chances!

Hope my "top 5" gave you some ideas for the weekend!

Pet Expo 2016

Dear Diary,

Its the time of the year for Pet's Expo. Its always held every once a year! Its usually a 3 days worth full of events! Many vendors will put up their items for the best promotions! We just have the pay the entrance fee of $4 per person. Its at Expo Hall 7, The Max Pavilion.

This time round, we went there on the first day of the event. After all, it was a Good Friday public holiday. There were a lot of people in the event. The most exciting part is that i will get to see all different breeds of dog everywhere! I was busy taking pictures of all different kinds of dogs! I put the girls in the pram so that it will be easier for us to walk. The girls are too small, im afraid they might get stepped on. Bb was so happy and excited, whereas our dear clover doesn't like the crowd. She barks at anyone and everyone. (thats embarrassing) but its just her. haha!

interesting layout!

The cat section!

We started shopping and exploring around the event. We saw a few friends around too! The promotions there are very generous! everywhere is having "buy 2 free 1" or "buy 5 free 6" those kind of promotions are so attractive! Unfortunately i had all i need and i didn't manage to make use of those promotions. I only bought 2 packets of Primal, Venison as that is Bb's all time favourite food.
Its very rare to see Primal selling Venison so i bought it even though i have supplies at home already.
I also bought new freeze dried brand called Sojo. It looks quite yummy therefore shall let the girls have some to try.

Here are the pictures i took during the event:

Some people will go for all 3 days for the events and all. but we will only go there for 1 day only. haha. hope you guys have fun at the expo!

The Bliss @ Cheng San CC

Dear Diary,

We came across another pet friendly environment for dinner!

The Bliss @ Cheng San CC. I read online and saw there were good reviews and the environment seems to look quite cosy. We decided to give this place a try! The menu looks quite good and they seem to have many choices.

We reached there at about 8.30 pm. We realised the alcohols there are priced quite low. We didn't try the alcohol as we were not in the mood for it for the day. Haha! We were seated outdoor ares we have fur kids with us and they tried to locate us to a corner seat.

We placed our orders and here are the pictures:

Prawn aglio Olio

Chicken chop with chili crab sauce

Pork chop with miso Mayo sauce

Seafood pasta with chili crab sauce.

All pictures were taken with my mobile phone. So the resolution is not really good.

Honestly, the food was so-so only. The taste was quite flat and not much. We just like the ambience and the environment. Cool, chill and relaxing. At least I found a new dog friendly cafe to hang out with my girls. The waiters there are also quite approachable and friendly. Maybe the next time round I will just go back for the drinks.

Address:
Cheng san community centre

Food for thought at Botanical Gardens

Dear Diary,

This weekend both bumver Mummy and daddy are busy with the search of our bridal package for our wedding day. So, bumbie and clover have the opportunity to follow us around. Finally we came to Feline bridal on our friend's recommendation. We were very satisfied with their service and were convinced that the price was good. So we signed and paid for it. Anyone looking for any bridal packages for photoshoot and actual day wedding dresses package, let me know. I can refer you in for good prices!

Anyway, Botanical Garden was just nearby. so we decided to bring the for some walk. There is also this Cafe: Food for Thought. It's dog friendly at the outside. so we had late lunch there.

The food we ordered:

I think the food is just ok. The environment is only nice in the inside. The outdoor is not so impressive. Then, we went for a short . There are a lot of mozzies..... Lucky we have our insect repellent with us all the time.

bb is very curious looking around.

We had a great time there and enjoyed the food.
Hopefully next week we have more adventures. This year we will be quite busy with our wedding preparations and we plan to have the girls be part of our wedding! It's gonna be an exciting year. No one said it would be easy but I think we can do it!

Have a great week ahead!

The Coastal Settlement

Dear diary,

This is a late post. Last weekend, we went to The Coastal Settlement for tea time. We ordered a lot on the snack menu so that we can share and try everything. This time round i was smart enough to bring the Insect repellent. The last time I went there, I was being "attacked" by mozzies.

I love going to the coastal settlement because it isolated at a quiet cosy corner of Singapore. setting aside the busy city life, I do enjoy a little quiet and slow pace in life. What makes it perfect, it's a dog friendly cafe! The food is yummy, price is slightly steep. The theme of this cafe is quite retro. I have yet see how the cafe looks inside as i am always setted outdoors (pet friendly only outdoors). That's why insect repellent is necessary. :)

Our food is finally here! we are so excited to start eating.

Spam Fries

Mushroom Soup

Portobello Fries

Nachos Cheese

The pups were having a great time! I allowed them walk around the area so that i can take some pictures.

The previous time i came was during brunch time. There were more patrons during that time and waiting time can take quite long. which it's a good thing. Means food is yummy! I came across some reviews on food waiting time too long. The previous time the food really took quite long. But they gave us complimentary chicken wings to make up to us! we felt extremely treasured. Thumbs UP for service!

This cafe is located in Changi.
200 Netheravon Rd,
Singapore 508529

Just a few minutes down the road, you are able to reach changi beach park. I brought the girls there for a walk and enjoy the sight of planes flying by. i really enjoy these kind of lifestyle. No deadlines, no numbers, Just simple pleasure that maKes life beautiful. Most importantly, with people we love and catching up on life

Every weekend is an adventure. Thanks for the read!

 Love,
mammy BUmver.
