Hort Park

Dear Diary,

this is a throw back entry. Went to this park a few months back. wanted to try something new (again) and found this park on the map. i love opening google map to find the "green patches" on the map and find out what park is that.
Did a read up that this is a Gardening Park. Many people choose this place to take their wedding photos as the environment looks very peaceful and romantic. we went there at about 2pm in the afternoon. the place took my breath away. it's such a beautiful place! the grass as so well maintained, so green! there are so many plants and flowers in the pots, its very educational for kids as well. we were lucky to witness a couple taking their wedding photos. we had a short walk (approx an hour) as the weather was really hot. i always have a bad habit to go out at about 2pm, when the sun is still so hot (my fault). of cuz i ensure that my girls are able to take it and keep them hydrate. we had lots of water breaks.

i prefer walks in the afternoon when we feel fresh. if we wait till the evening to walk, we will not feel as fresh and moreover, we are joining the evening crowd. i realised a lot of families love to take family walks in the evening (of cuz, the sun is not so hot). i should try morning walks one day.......

Sengkang Sculpture Park

Dear Diary,

Was at my Godma's place and decided to stay at my godma's place for the whole day as i was so lazy to have any plans. went to google maps to source for the nearest park around my godma's house. Saw this park on google map and thought its quite special. its only a 15 min walk from my godma's place (near to Sengkang MRT).

The park is just a neighbourhood park, small and nothing much (kana bluff hahaha). but my niece enjoyed herself at the playground and climbing on all the sculptures. its like a super BIG playground for kids. but Bumbie and Clover sure had a good walk! we walk thru and fro, 15 min each, and some photoshoot at the park with my niece.

At least a new park that we been to! that's my purpose, every new parks here and there, no matter where! so that bumbie and clover will enjoy and will not be bored. i used to go to the same park all the time. Every weekend without fail, to the same park. Life is too short to stay at one place. we should explore when we have the time and when we have the strength.

Punggol Waterway park

Dear Diary,

We visited the Punggol Water way park the other day. i realised that Punggol water way, Punggol Settlement, and most of the punggol parks are connected. They are all so lovely. 

This park is quite big. I am not sure where is the car park, but there are car park lots at the side of the road, near the entrance to Punggol Settlement. 

It was a sunny afternoon. there wasn't much trees there. the place has a big river in the middle with lots of green grasses. looks like this:

Beautiful right? i love this place. but one thing bad is that, there are not much trees there (really!) so the sun was glazing hot! i had to cut short my trip and make my way back as i m afraid my girls can't take the heat. i mean, i myself can't take the heat! 

It should be great to go there in the evening when the sun is almost down? off leash not recommended though, even though the area is so big. there are cyclist around! Most likely the cyclist are travelling thru the parks! so be careful!

Roboeyes Cafe

Dear Diary,

Met up with my Chihuahua buddies. We decided to try out the new dog cafe. i am not a fan of dog cafes becuz my Clover don't really like to be in a dog cafe.

This Cafe is slightly small. They separated the cafe into 2, the doggy friendly and the non doggy friendly. just nice there was a Corgi gathering in the cafe. the Corgis were so much bigger than i expected. Maybe that is partly why i find the cafe small? I wasn't very hungry, but just need some finger food. unfortunately, the menu don't have finger food. they have main food and deserts only. We just have to try something from the menu. so we ordered Cheese wraps:

Its actually quite decent food. not bad for a snack. :)

In conclusion, i rate this cafe 3 out of 5 stars. They are new and have lots of room for improvement. The location is quite far for me. One thing good about the location is that, there are a lot of parking lots as its under HDB parking. 

I will come back again.. one day i guess.. i mean, bb and clover generally don't feel comfortable in cafes, they prefer to have walks. :)

Swimming Day at Sunpetgamart

Dear Diary,

Today i brought the girls to meet up with our friends for a dip in the pool. Usually we will visit SunPetgamart at 26 Seletar west, Farmway 1. When join as a member, i can bring your furkids there for a dip for free during the weekends! Great deal right? plus members discount when purchasing their stuffs there. there are many promotions in their store. i love to visit their store for cheaper products to stock up my girl's stuffs. Usually i will buy treats or Primal or pee pads from there.

It was raining in the morning then it was so sunny in the afternoon. Sunpetgamart is usually quite crowded during the weekends. We reached there at about 2.30pm. Did some shopping and bought some treats and Primal. Primal brought in a new pork flavour. Bought a small pack to let my girls try it out. Bumbie is a picky eater, so i cant buy the big pack, in case she doesn't like the taste of it. Bumbie don't like the Lamb and Duck flavour from Primal. Currently she only like the Turkey with Sardine flavour.

After shopping, we proceed for a dip. Bumbie and Clover don't really love swimming. But i have to bring Bumbie for a swim to work out on her knee. She had an operation a few months back and doctor said that she needs to swim to work out on her ligaments.

i had to put the 2 girls into the water because they will never jump in on their own. Swimming to them is like a torture sport. hahaha. But at least, clover is a very good and fast swimmer. she swims very fast and steady. just that she don't like being wet. maybe is just a "Chihuahua thing" that they don't really like water. Overall we had so much fun chasing the girls and playing with bigger dogs by the pool. Lilo and Yogi the Chihuahuas, Wulf the chihuahua and Buddy the Beagle were swimming with us. Didnt take much photos as we were so busy chasing them to swim. We got ourselves so wet!

There is a bathing area at the back of the pool area. nothing is provided other then the water pipes to bathe. Just have to be careful and bring mosquito repellent as there are so many mosquitos there, so irritating!

we ended the day by bring them to Bishan park for a short work and short snacks and drinks at canopy. Well, im not gonna introduce Canopy as i personally don't really like the place. Its a long story about that place, will blog about it the next time.
