Stay-cation at Regent Hotel.

Dear Diary,

I was finally married on 18.12.2016. We didn't have time for honeymoon therefore we decided to have a mini stay-cation with the girls. Regent is one of the pet friendly hotels. Heard of their good reviews and therefore decided to have our mini honey moon there.

We checked in on the 23.12.2016 and had a 1 night stay. We put the girls in the bag as we enter the lobby. We do see people walking their furkids into the lobby but i just want to be more cautious to the rest of the hotel guest. Clover can be quite barkish if she would to have eye contact with other dogs. haha! Check in was quick and efficient. We got our room card and went into our room. Our room was just a deluxe room as the other rooms were already fully booked. The room was really clean. They gave complimentary treats for the girls in a gift box! it was very thoughtful of them. They also provided a bed for them and drinking bowls.

complimentary gifts!

We rested in the hotel and went to the nearest park, Botanical Gardens. Just a short walk then it started raining. Lucky we made it back to the hotel in time before it rains.

When we got back, we had a surprise from the hotel. Desserts to celebrate our marriage! The cakes were very yummy. Sweet in our hearts. Special thanks to Regent hotel and Aunty May!

We got lazy for dinner and ordered room service. The food in the menu seems quite pricey but we ordered anyway. hahaha! We ordered Chicken Rice, Laksa and Creamy chicken pasta, The food was yummy and big portion. We couldn't finish it. So we went to sleep (food coma) and woke up to eat again. That really sounds like a pig's life. hahaha!

For our breakfast, we had complimentary breakfast which was a package included for our stay. We had only 1 choice, Hearty breakfast. We can choose the choice of our eggs, bacon or sausages, coffee or tea, toast bread or bread baskets. So, these are our choices:

The breakfast was really good and fulling. We ate and went back to sleep again. What a life! We were entitled for late check out so we rested in the hotel and watch some movies. The girls enjoyed the stay there and they were happily playing and running around the room. They were so reluctant to leave the hotel but the beautiful short stay had to come to an end somehow.

The stay at Regent was overall very good and the staff there were very helpful and friendly. Their response for room service was also efficient and swift. The food was not bad. The room and toilet was clean and the bath tub was big. The bed was comfy too! I love the part where they prepared the bed, food bowl and some gifts for the furbabies.

Clover is relaxing

Bb got herself at the nicest spot of the bed where she can have a good view at the window.

Brought their favorite snack to chew on

nom nom nom..

And so my marriage leave is over. Back to reality!

This short period of time, i had learnt something new.

Its not easy to be a wife. When i was a Girlfriend, i throw tantrum like a spoilt princess.
Now that im a wife, i need to learn to be as gracious as a Queen.

I will post more about our wedding actual day when i got my photos!

Bumbie's 5th Birthday

Dear Diary,

It's the time of the year when its the celebration of Bumbie's birthday!
She is 5 years old this year. It seems like she was just a puppy yesterday.

We celebrated her birthday 2 weeks earlier as we will be busy for the rest of the weekends due to wedding preparations. Her actual birthday was on a weekday anyway. We chose to held the celebration at Hort park as that is our usual hang out. Its clean and there is a shelter neat by our picnic spot. Now that its a rainy season, its very important to plan for contingency. It was just a small party with our usual friends. I was very excited to bake her cake as i have the best idea!

Her cake:

I mixed lamb and pork for this cake as clover has a weak belly.
In the mixture, i added carrot, broccoli and rosemary.
The coating is Potato with cream cheese. i blend them so that it will be smooth.
For the pink, its beetroot.
Everyone enjoyed every single bit of it!

I DIY-ed her birtthday cap too! well, the materials are all from Diaso with construction paper. hahaha!!

This is pretty minnie and bumbie's many friends behind her.

Little minnie flirting with Kashew. hahaha!

Clover is looking into Wulf's eye talking to him. i really wonder what is she saying.

BUDDY!

So, the happy girl had her fun filled birthday. The weather was kind to us. It only started to rain once everyone reached our cars so no one got wet. We were so lucky. Next, will be just a mini home celebration on Bumbie's actual birthday.

Home celebration on her actual day: 22 November 16
Her cake:

Anyhow bake at home. Base was lamb with carrot, broccoli and rosemary (the usual).
the coat was just potato.
I thought it was quite plain so i baked Carob bone cookies to add on and cut some kiwi to go along with the cake.
Didn't give clover a lot of the cake as this is a full lamb based cake. BB loves lamb to the max!

Clover was obviously more interested in the cake than wishing her sister Happy birthday! hahaha.
We sang a simple birthday song and the girls enjoyed the cake and Carob cookies.

Thank you all my friends that loved bumbie and for the presents for bumbie. Really appreciate that every thought counted. We had a great celebration and bb really enjoyed being pampered by everyone.

Happy birthday dear bb. You are always a happy baby and always smiling no matter what. You are forever a happy dog and please stay happy forever. Your beauty melted many hearts, your kindness touched many and your friendliness gained many friends. I am so lucky to have you and clover in my life. <3

My Personal Story

Dear Diary,

This post is just a story of my past that i found out only recently. I just need to find a place to channel it somewhere so that i can get this load off my chest. Not being emotional and not gonna share it on my wall for everyone to read. So those who will read, will read. So, here goes.

As everyone knows, my mum passed away about 3 years ago. (i wrote it on my introduction portion of the blog). I had been trying to move on from then. Touched by my family members who looked after me and tried to pick up bits and pieces from my fall. Also, a handsome husband to be who is always there by my side. With the lost of my mother, i had also adopted the second fur-family, Clover. She was like the sun who lighted up the darkness.

When it was time to pack up my mum's documents, i had to go thru one document by one document to make sure i do not throw something important. I went past her divorced petition. Well, im brought up by my mum single handled and the only child. Im very grateful for all the love that i got and i feel no lost as my mum is a strong woman and did her best to give me whatever i need to grow up to be a fine lady. It broke my heart when i flipped to a page in the petition when it states: " ... a lady who wanted to give her child to her. She desperately wanted to adopt..." immediately i was lost and thought my eyes were playing tricks. No, i hope that it wasn't referring to me.. but who else can this refer to when im the only child in my family. Next i saw this: " ... he accompanied her to complete the adoption proceedings to legally adopt the child..." My dad went to accompany my mum to adopt me. I was adopted. Tears just flowed down my eyes like it was never ending.. "My life was a lie?" i asked myself. "but i was loved.. how can this be a lie?"

Honestly, its not that i never once suspected that i was adopted thru my years. i always ask my mum why m i so different from her. She was short, skinny, with large beautiful eyes with straight hair. I have small eyes, plump and tall. I always joke that i came from the rubbish bin.. Oh no.. all those words could have broke her heart many times but i was joking.. i didn't know it was real. She never told me. and i think she didn't intended to. She kept this secret so well but i guess she never once expected that i had to clear her drawer. I wasn't angry at all. I was just confused. She could have told me earlier and i could have done a better job. I wouldn't  have taken things for granted and be more obedient. Moreover, im more vulnerable in my case that im adopted. I never once expected my surname was borrowed. I thought my surname belongs to me. So who m i and where do i come from?

I don't have the thought of meeting my birth mother or my birth family. I just want to know where i came from and how my mum met my birth mum. I love my mum. She brought me up well and she never once let me felt as if i was adopted. I was loved by everyone in the family including my god parents. I m not sure if they know im adopted or not but they love me and i know it and i don't want to lose all these after knowing the truth about everything. After crying for a few days, i didn't know how to cry anymore. i came to teams with the fact and accepted it.

If my mum would to be able to read this from heaven, this is what i would write to her:

Dear mummy,

Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for loving me and not giving up on me. I may have a lot of disobedient days and unbearable days. But you still loved me till your last breath. You asked me many times when i was young if i will leave you when i grow up. I always answered you as if you were asking a ridiculous question because i never once thought that you were afraid to lose me. Even after knowing the truth, i still love you and thank you for trying to protect me from everything. I may not be your blood-related daughter but i will always be your daughter. You will always be my mother.

Love,

Your only daughter

Now that im about to be married in December, a new chapter of my life will begin. im glad that god gave me a chance to be with this wonderful strong woman who brought me up with full of compassion and kindness. I will never forget that. What was more important is that she brought me up selflessly and loved me like her blood-related daughter. i had everything in my life. Whatever i wanted, she will never say no. I may have borrowed a surname that is not mine, but the life that she gave me was real. I will lead by her example and be that strong woman that she brought me up to be.

With love,

Mummy bumver.

Our Pre wedding

Dear Diary,

it's been a while since I last posted. We have been really busy lately as our big day is just next month! Most of the things are done, invitation cards has been sent. it will be just a small wedding banquet to celebrate this joyous occasion.

So, I would like to share our pre-wedding photo shoot. If I would to rate the photoshoot, I will just give a 6 out of 10. photoshoot is not a fun session. it's so tiring! The photos turn out to be so-so only. We elimated most of the outdoor shoots as it's not really very nice. It wasn't really nicely taken. :(
But let's not comment on the bad side.
On the good side, in indoor photoshoot is not bad. Not very creative but it's passable. it's a difficult task as we included the 2 girls in photoshoot. I understand that it may be a tough challenge.

Here comes the exciting part. Pictures! I'm just gonna share a few good ones so that I can keep the rest of the pictures for my actual day wedding.

one of the very few outdoor shoots

well, just gonna share 3! I honestly do have thoughts of doing a causal photoshoot as I feel that my album is very incomplete. But I guess I will just save the money and do something else instead. Unless I change my mind last minute.

That's a little update for now. will update more soon!

Love,
Mummy Bumver

Clover's birthday party part 2!

Dear Diary,

We celebrated clover's part 2 at Tanjong Beach Sentosa. I chose this place is because she loves her freedom and love the sand. Least we expected that the beach was so crowded that day. but everything still went just as planned.

I baked another beautiful yummy cake for her to share with her friends. I'm not a very creative person so my cake was just ordinary. Haha! The top coat of the cake is made up of pumpkin and the Base is mixed lamb and pork.

I didn't take a lot of pictures that day as the beach was really crowded and I had to watch the girls more carefully as they were off leashed. they had so much fun! at least we took a group photo with their friends.

Next, we went for round 3 of celebration at Sentosa Cove. We met up with another of Clover and Bumbie best pal. We had our dinner at Kith cafe. Majority of the cafes at Sentosa Cove are dog friendly. We just chose a cafe randomly and decided to try Kith Cafe.

They are quite strict and not very flexible. Bumbie and clover are so small yet they are only allowed on the floor. I was unable to put them on my lap like how I used to at other dog friendly cafes. Nevertheless, the food was delicious!

minnie and mikey super happy!

Then we had a joyful evening stroll around Sentosa Cove. it was a great evening and it ended our little angle's birthday perfectly.

Special thanks to all of our friends for celebrating her birthday and giving her very wonderful presents. Both Bumbie and clover are lucky to be so pampered and loved by everyone!

Happy Birthday my dear clover! As I watch you grow everyday, you have blossomed into a beautiful flower. You are still young and have many joyful days ahead of you. we have so much to learn as a family so let's grow old together! thank you for watching over your sister bumbie all the time and pulling her away from trouble. stay sweet and loving and not too much bad temper any more ya? you may have your insecurities but we assure u that you are safe with us all the time.

with love,
Bumver Mummy and daddy

Dear Diary,

it's the time of the year for Clover's 3rd birthday! woo hoo!
wanted to make the party a small one as we didn't have much time to plan. Initially I intended to just bake her a cake and celebrate at home but I decided to bring her out and extend her celebration till the next day.

on Saturday, 6/8/2016 was her actual birthday! baked her a small cake and we had a small celebration at home. I bought her Perrobox which came just in time for her birthday. I chose to give her Perrobox because it will be like a mini surprise as we will not know what is in the box. Haha.
this is this month's perrobox subscription. I was happy with the items as they are so worth it! Clover chose the toy immediately!

I baked a lamb cupcake with pumpkin topping. clover loved it so much. I added carrots and broccoli in it.

look at her enjoying the whole cake!

champion for the birthday smile!

we wanted to bring her out as well but it was raining. anyway, lucky we had planned a part 2 for her birthday. will update soon on part 2! Stay tune!

Dear Coral...

Dear Coral,

I found you laying on the pavement. You were left there by a bus driver who knocked you down. You were so small and I saw you bleeding from your back. I carried you immediately when others were just looking. I ran towards my car 5 blocks away. You were hissing at me, you were scared. I told you everything will be fine. I drove to the nearest vet as fast as I could. You were staring at me throughout the journey. I told you, your home is with me, you will have a home and you will be fine.

I dashed into the clinic and handed you to the vet. I didn't even have a good look at you. All I know is that you were beautiful. You had white smooth coat and big blue eyes. I waited outside for the vet to update me on your condition. I was anxious and I didn't know what to do. Finally when the vet came out, she informed me that your belly was swollen and your legs, fractured. The vet didn't agree for surgery but said to put you on drip and keep you under observation. I paid a deposit and left. I went home and prayed and sought help on social media. I was thinking of a name for you. You had special blue eyes, I shall name you Coral. Dear Coral, do you know that you are a lucky kitten? There were people who were concerned about you. I couldn't sleep and trying to source for help.

The very next day, I constantly called the clinic, bugging them to give me updates on you. They said you were eating little by little but blood was present in your urine. I believed you were a little warrior and brought a friend to visit you. We teared upon seeing you. Our hearts ached. I touched your tiny paw, you grabbed my fingers. This time I tried to know you better. You had small brown spot on your back and you had a beautiful long grey tail. I tried to show you love and encouraged you to fight on. I left you there and prayed that you will be strong. Then the vet called again. They gave me an option to put you to sleep. I said no. You were still breathing, you had a chance and I wanted to save that chance for you. It was barely an hour that we got separated yet your condition deteriorated. When I returned to visit, you were on oxygen support. I insisted that you fight and you grabbed my fingers again. I whispered to you, " You have a name. Your name is Coral and your home is with me. Fight Coral, and I will bring you home." I had to leave you there again. The vet said she will take good care of you and update me. I went home to pray again. 4 hours later, I received a phone call from the clinic. The vet informed me that you had left. I cried. I didn't know what to do now. A good friend of mine stepped forward to help arrange a proper cremation for you. She was kind and had a heart of gold. Without hesitation, she also helped to pay off the remaining medical bills.

Dear Coral, you were born a stray kitten, about 6 weeks of age. I'm sorry that you couldn't see much of the world and yet met into a scary accident. I tried my best to save you but I failed. You were a strong and brave kitty. A least I managed to show you a little love before you left. Now you are in the arms of the angles. Be brave and be happy. We all pray for your new journey.

Special thanks to Katie and Ariel for helping with the vet and cremation bill. Thank you so much Katie for arranging a proper cremation. Thank you Erica for helping me till the wee hours searching for help. It was a rough discussion with the lady from the Cat welfare but it doesn't matter any more. What matters most was the effort made together, and thank you for those who made effort to share the post to reach out to others.

Many will comment that I'm just too emotional. This is the first time I am rescuing a stray. I have never done it before because I have never met with this kind of incident before. Every life is precious and every life counts.

Rest in Peace dear Coral.

With love,
Mummy Bumver

Our wedding photo shoot

Dear diary,

We have been busy these few weeks. We are preparing for our upcoming wedding this year. One of the biggest preparation is the wedding photo shoot. I went for the dress fitting with Bumbie and Clover and they will judge on my dresses. The dress fitting was about 1 week before my actual day pre-wedding photo shoot. They don't like dark colour dresses. I took 2 hours to choose 3 colour dresses and 2 white dresses. I am not able to post the pictures here as the bridal have rules that photography is not allowed. So too bad for us!

The Girls were very patient while waiting for us to choose out outfits. It was quite tiring changing in and out many dresses. But i am really very happy to be able to find suitable dresses for me. There were so many selections that i got really overwhelmed. The sales person was also so patient to advise each and every dresses that i tried. I love her comments as it was really very honest.

When the day of the photo shoot, we were blessed to have 2 best friends to help out. They took care of the girls and helped to wear my dresses when we were outdoor. We went to places like Hort park, Sentosa an the Helix bridge for the outdoor shoots. Everyone was so tired from the whole day of hard work. We ended the photoshoot at about 9pm. There where some miscommunication with the photographer and therefore there were delays. The photographer's instructions were quite misleading be we tried our best to understand.

Anyway, all went well. Special thanks to my 2 lovely friends who took the whole day off to help us out. If i would be about to choose to repeat this process, i definitely not want to,.... its too too tiring. here are some pictures of the girls during the process!

Will share more when the photos are out! will update soon!

Love,

Bumver Mummy
