Conrad Continental Staycation

Dear Diary,

Its Valentines Day! Not that we spend it only this particular day, we have valentines day everyday!
We were invited by our friend to spend valentines day together so we had a room! Was quite excited for the mini staycation with the girls. We stayed in Concrad before and loved the experience.

Our friend booked the executive room for us and we get to enjoy a mini tea time buffet. Check in was easy and swift. The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and neat, just as how we remembered. Something different was that, we stayed on a high floor this time. We went to enjoy the tea time buffet after settling down.

Since we were at Concrad, we decided to have our dinner at Oscar's. Dinner was an international buffet style! Food is yummy and we ate till we had a bloated tummy! These are some of the buffet pictures that i took from my phone.

The girls really had a lot of fun in the room. Jumping up and down the bed and playing with the toys.
These are the complimentary gifts from the hotel.

I enjoyed taking series of photos of the 2 girls. The bed was really comfortable a we didn't want to leave the comfy bed with the soft warm blanket. We spent most of our time in the room and make good use of the facilities.
We took a slow stroll to the Helix bridge that links towards Marina Bay Sands. Half way, it started to rain so we didn't had chance to take a good picture of the night view. Maybe one day we will come back here for another staycation and we will have a chance to take a long walk under the night stars and enjoy the sight of the city lights.
Let me share some pictures i took of the 2 girls while we were in the hotel room!

All sleepy faces as they are enjoying the comfort of the room. Hahaha!

Just a simple thought for valentines day:

Love is not proven for the number of years. Its the loyalty that we stand by each other thru the good and the bad times.
For friends, for lovers and for family.
Happy valentines day!

Love,
Mummy Bumver.

My Wedding Day

Dear Diary,

It has been about a month since my wedding! Living on a brand new status of being a "Mrs" is quite nice. I have a loving husband that loves me and the girls deeply. I appreciate everything that we had been thru to get this far!

Wedding planning is one of the biggest obstacle for the both of us. We have to agree and compromise on a lot of major decisions. I am very fortunate to have my partner giving in to me all the time! The wedding was like a fairy tale and everything came true! We planned a very simple wedding and kept within our budget. We tried to keep the girls in all our plans during the whole entire event. We had great help from our Bridesmaid and Groomsman. Without them, this wedding wouldn't be possible as well. We choose a restaurant (not going to review which) that allows me to bring the girls in with us.

The whole wedding went thru some chinese customs. i woke up at 4.30am in the morning to get prepared. My Make up artist came at about 4.45am to do my make up. My make up artist and I were from strangers to friends. She was very professional and friendly. She gave me many advises and made sure i had very smooth skin before my wedding. I am so glad i found her and had her with me on my wedding day. I was so blessed!

This is Rachel from EK make up studio. i was seriously in love with that hair bun!

I also made another friend. My Photographer. We also evolved from strangers to friends. He helped me in a lot of photo takings and covered up a lot of shorts for me. His name is Sam From Depthofeel. I really appreciate his efforts a lot. he best thing is that he also has a Chihuahua! I also have a Videographer who came along with Sam. His name is Andric. Super spontaneous guy and he made my day when he said my wedding was the most fun wedding that he attended.
Anyways, the star of the day was also focused on my 2 girls. haha!!

Photo taken by Sam early in the morning. Clover is dozing off while I'm busy doing make up!

Series of events started with the veil. My godparents helped to put on my veil. Well, that was when i had to stay in the room and wait for the groom to come. My family and bridesmaid helped to set up the necessary and the games. everything was well prepared while everyone waited for the groom to arrive!

Below are some of the photos of our preparations!

Here comes the Groom and his Groomsman!

The Games begin downstairs!

Well, i was watching the gate crash live! It was so fun to see them play with all the pranks and having fun!

Then finally my groom came into the room and wore my shoes. Off we go to the groom's home!
Before moving off, i need to throw this fan and my godma have to pick it up. It's hard to explain what does this action symbolizes but it means something to leave something behind for your mum.

And my godma giving me good wishes. of cause this is the moment when we shed tears of joy.
oo i love you godma!

Once we reached the groom's house, we where busy with eating rice balls and tea ceremony. The process was quite swiftly and all was done in a breeze, And we quickly proceeded to the next stop which is going back to our own home (where the bride and groom sleeps) and a boy will roll on our bed. Its known that the boy has to be a young child. This young boy is my neighbour's son! Glad to have great neighbours to help!

Next stop, i have to change to a traditional red clothing called a Qua and go back to my godma house for tea ceremony. After the tea ceremony, we head to Sengkang riverside for a mini photoshoot and flower throwing!

This is our team, our friends that i call them my family.

I am not going to divulge where is my wedding dinner location as they gave me exceptions to allow my girls in the ball room. I had my second march in with the girls with me.
It was like a dream came true!

Our First March in

Our Second March in

Other than all the ups and downs of the event, i am really glad we had friends and family by our side helping us to keep the event going. The whole wedding process was kinda successful. Other than both the bride and groom were drunk.. HAHAHA! anyway, we really had a lot of fun through out the day.

Now my short speech:

I want to thank all my family members especially my godma for supporting me though my ups and downs. Without my godma, i would have been lost after my mum passed away 3 years ago. I had endless support from my family and had grew stronger. Now is a new chapter of my life with new stories to tell. I will always remember my roots and the things that my mum taught me. She had taught me to be kind and gracious to others. Having compassion and living by our principles. When I build my family in the future, i will also teach them the same.

I am loved by many friends around me. Other than our bridesmaid and groomsman, there were other friends helping and supporting us behind the scene to make this wedding possible. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone was involved in helping, small or big, it really made a great difference in my life.

Lastly, thank you to all family and friends, who took time to witness my big day. I appreciate all the warm greetings and blessings and will keep them deeply in my heart.

Family is not only bond by blood. But those who we fight for.

Love,

Mummy Bumver

Stay-cation at Regent Hotel.

Dear Diary,

I was finally married on 18.12.2016. We didn't have time for honeymoon therefore we decided to have a mini stay-cation with the girls. Regent is one of the pet friendly hotels. Heard of their good reviews and therefore decided to have our mini honey moon there.

We checked in on the 23.12.2016 and had a 1 night stay. We put the girls in the bag as we enter the lobby. We do see people walking their furkids into the lobby but i just want to be more cautious to the rest of the hotel guest. Clover can be quite barkish if she would to have eye contact with other dogs. haha! Check in was quick and efficient. We got our room card and went into our room. Our room was just a deluxe room as the other rooms were already fully booked. The room was really clean. They gave complimentary treats for the girls in a gift box! it was very thoughtful of them. They also provided a bed for them and drinking bowls.

complimentary gifts!

We rested in the hotel and went to the nearest park, Botanical Gardens. Just a short walk then it started raining. Lucky we made it back to the hotel in time before it rains.

When we got back, we had a surprise from the hotel. Desserts to celebrate our marriage! The cakes were very yummy. Sweet in our hearts. Special thanks to Regent hotel and Aunty May!

We got lazy for dinner and ordered room service. The food in the menu seems quite pricey but we ordered anyway. hahaha! We ordered Chicken Rice, Laksa and Creamy chicken pasta, The food was yummy and big portion. We couldn't finish it. So we went to sleep (food coma) and woke up to eat again. That really sounds like a pig's life. hahaha!

For our breakfast, we had complimentary breakfast which was a package included for our stay. We had only 1 choice, Hearty breakfast. We can choose the choice of our eggs, bacon or sausages, coffee or tea, toast bread or bread baskets. So, these are our choices:

The breakfast was really good and fulling. We ate and went back to sleep again. What a life! We were entitled for late check out so we rested in the hotel and watch some movies. The girls enjoyed the stay there and they were happily playing and running around the room. They were so reluctant to leave the hotel but the beautiful short stay had to come to an end somehow.

The stay at Regent was overall very good and the staff there were very helpful and friendly. Their response for room service was also efficient and swift. The food was not bad. The room and toilet was clean and the bath tub was big. The bed was comfy too! I love the part where they prepared the bed, food bowl and some gifts for the furbabies.

Clover is relaxing

Bb got herself at the nicest spot of the bed where she can have a good view at the window.

Clover enjoying her complimentary toy

Brought their favorite snack to chew on

nom nom nom..

And so my marriage leave is over. Back to reality!

This short period of time, i had learnt something new.

Its not easy to be a wife. When i was a Girlfriend, i throw tantrum like a spoilt princess.
Now that im a wife, i need to learn to be as gracious as a Queen.

I will post more about our wedding actual day when i got my photos!

Bumbie's 5th Birthday

Dear Diary,

It's the time of the year when its the celebration of Bumbie's birthday!
She is 5 years old this year. It seems like she was just a puppy yesterday.

We celebrated her birthday 2 weeks earlier as we will be busy for the rest of the weekends due to wedding preparations. Her actual birthday was on a weekday anyway. We chose to held the celebration at Hort park as that is our usual hang out. Its clean and there is a shelter neat by our picnic spot. Now that its a rainy season, its very important to plan for contingency. It was just a small party with our usual friends. I was very excited to bake her cake as i have the best idea!

Her cake:

I mixed lamb and pork for this cake as clover has a weak belly.
In the mixture, i added carrot, broccoli and rosemary.
The coating is Potato with cream cheese. i blend them so that it will be smooth.
For the pink, its beetroot.
Everyone enjoyed every single bit of it!

I DIY-ed her birtthday cap too! well, the materials are all from Diaso with construction paper. hahaha!!

This is pretty minnie and bumbie's many friends behind her.

Little minnie flirting with Kashew. hahaha!

Clover is looking into Wulf's eye talking to him. i really wonder what is she saying.

BUDDY!

So, the happy girl had her fun filled birthday. The weather was kind to us. It only started to rain once everyone reached our cars so no one got wet. We were so lucky. Next, will be just a mini home celebration on Bumbie's actual birthday.

Home celebration on her actual day: 22 November 16
Her cake:

Anyhow bake at home. Base was lamb with carrot, broccoli and rosemary (the usual).
the coat was just potato.
I thought it was quite plain so i baked Carob bone cookies to add on and cut some kiwi to go along with the cake.
Didn't give clover a lot of the cake as this is a full lamb based cake. BB loves lamb to the max!

Clover was obviously more interested in the cake than wishing her sister Happy birthday! hahaha.
We sang a simple birthday song and the girls enjoyed the cake and Carob cookies.

Thank you all my friends that loved bumbie and for the presents for bumbie. Really appreciate that every thought counted. We had a great celebration and bb really enjoyed being pampered by everyone.

Happy birthday dear bb. You are always a happy baby and always smiling no matter what. You are forever a happy dog and please stay happy forever. Your beauty melted many hearts, your kindness touched many and your friendliness gained many friends. I am so lucky to have you and clover in my life. <3

My Personal Story

Dear Diary,

This post is just a story of my past that i found out only recently. I just need to find a place to channel it somewhere so that i can get this load off my chest. Not being emotional and not gonna share it on my wall for everyone to read. So those who will read, will read. So, here goes.

As everyone knows, my mum passed away about 3 years ago. (i wrote it on my introduction portion of the blog). I had been trying to move on from then. Touched by my family members who looked after me and tried to pick up bits and pieces from my fall. Also, a handsome husband to be who is always there by my side. With the lost of my mother, i had also adopted the second fur-family, Clover. She was like the sun who lighted up the darkness.

When it was time to pack up my mum's documents, i had to go thru one document by one document to make sure i do not throw something important. I went past her divorced petition. Well, im brought up by my mum single handled and the only child. Im very grateful for all the love that i got and i feel no lost as my mum is a strong woman and did her best to give me whatever i need to grow up to be a fine lady. It broke my heart when i flipped to a page in the petition when it states: " ... a lady who wanted to give her child to her. She desperately wanted to adopt..." immediately i was lost and thought my eyes were playing tricks. No, i hope that it wasn't referring to me.. but who else can this refer to when im the only child in my family. Next i saw this: " ... he accompanied her to complete the adoption proceedings to legally adopt the child..." My dad went to accompany my mum to adopt me. I was adopted. Tears just flowed down my eyes like it was never ending.. "My life was a lie?" i asked myself. "but i was loved.. how can this be a lie?"

Honestly, its not that i never once suspected that i was adopted thru my years. i always ask my mum why m i so different from her. She was short, skinny, with large beautiful eyes with straight hair. I have small eyes, plump and tall. I always joke that i came from the rubbish bin.. Oh no.. all those words could have broke her heart many times but i was joking.. i didn't know it was real. She never told me. and i think she didn't intended to. She kept this secret so well but i guess she never once expected that i had to clear her drawer. I wasn't angry at all. I was just confused. She could have told me earlier and i could have done a better job. I wouldn't  have taken things for granted and be more obedient. Moreover, im more vulnerable in my case that im adopted. I never once expected my surname was borrowed. I thought my surname belongs to me. So who m i and where do i come from?

I don't have the thought of meeting my birth mother or my birth family. I just want to know where i came from and how my mum met my birth mum. I love my mum. She brought me up well and she never once let me felt as if i was adopted. I was loved by everyone in the family including my god parents. I m not sure if they know im adopted or not but they love me and i know it and i don't want to lose all these after knowing the truth about everything. After crying for a few days, i didn't know how to cry anymore. i came to teams with the fact and accepted it.

If my mum would to be able to read this from heaven, this is what i would write to her:

Dear mummy,

Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for loving me and not giving up on me. I may have a lot of disobedient days and unbearable days. But you still loved me till your last breath. You asked me many times when i was young if i will leave you when i grow up. I always answered you as if you were asking a ridiculous question because i never once thought that you were afraid to lose me. Even after knowing the truth, i still love you and thank you for trying to protect me from everything. I may not be your blood-related daughter but i will always be your daughter. You will always be my mother.

Love,

Your only daughter

Now that im about to be married in December, a new chapter of my life will begin. im glad that god gave me a chance to be with this wonderful strong woman who brought me up with full of compassion and kindness. I will never forget that. What was more important is that she brought me up selflessly and loved me like her blood-related daughter. i had everything in my life. Whatever i wanted, she will never say no. I may have borrowed a surname that is not mine, but the life that she gave me was real. I will lead by her example and be that strong woman that she brought me up to be.

With love,

Mummy bumver.

Our Pre wedding

Dear Diary,

it's been a while since I last posted. We have been really busy lately as our big day is just next month! Most of the things are done, invitation cards has been sent. it will be just a small wedding banquet to celebrate this joyous occasion.

So, I would like to share our pre-wedding photo shoot. If I would to rate the photoshoot, I will just give a 6 out of 10. photoshoot is not a fun session. it's so tiring! The photos turn out to be so-so only. We elimated most of the outdoor shoots as it's not really very nice. It wasn't really nicely taken. :(
But let's not comment on the bad side.
On the good side, in indoor photoshoot is not bad. Not very creative but it's passable. it's a difficult task as we included the 2 girls in photoshoot. I understand that it may be a tough challenge.

Here comes the exciting part. Pictures! I'm just gonna share a few good ones so that I can keep the rest of the pictures for my actual day wedding.

one of the very few outdoor shoots

well, just gonna share 3! I honestly do have thoughts of doing a causal photoshoot as I feel that my album is very incomplete. But I guess I will just save the money and do something else instead. Unless I change my mind last minute.

That's a little update for now. will update more soon!

Love,
Mummy Bumver
